Joseph Riina is a Licensed Professional Engineer and Owner of Site Design Consultants since 1985. Mr. Riina is engaged in all aspects of the administration of the Firm and production of well-designed, engineered projects. He has a well-rounded experience in design, practical in-field know-how, and management of projects. Beyond the preparation of all stages of design, his supervisory role leads to the end goal for sustainable design and development. His capabilities extend to the preparation of specifications and reports, construction supervision, budget monitoring, and project coordination. With over 30 years of engineering experience, his expertise provides innovative engineered solutions that results in the best overall project design based on value engineering.

His broad background in design and engineering coordination with time management provides him with an educated insight to the requirements for each project. In the administrative aspect, Mr. Riina is the liaison for clients, official agencies, and empowers teamwork situations with subconsultants and subcontractors. His superior management skills insure efficient production of the ultimate project output.

Mr. Riina is also a Certified Professional in both Erosion and Sediment Control and Storm Water Quality Design. He has an extensive background in the civil and environmental engineering fields involving a broad range of design and construction projects. Project types include residential and commercial land development, planning and design; stormwater regulation compliance, permitting and management; water / wastewater facility design and construction in both the private and public sector.

Geotechnical / Structural Engineer

Profile

Anthony Cioffi is a Licensed Professional Engineer with over 27 years of engineering experience in the private sector mainly as a geotechnical engineer for both small and large scale projects encompassing highways, bridges, commercial buildings and institutional facilities. He has substantial experience in the areas of project management, residential construction, and foundation engineering, subsurface analysis, subsurface borings, the design of residential and commercial additions, prefabricated and cast-in place retaining walls, bulkheads, foundation assessment and analysis, structural design, and field inspections. Construction experience includes pile inspection, sanitary lines, drainage systems, embankments, and rail facilities.

He is a certified examiner for the American Concrete Institute – Field Inspection of Fresh Concrete Level 1. For the past ten years, Mr. Cioffi has served on the ASCE Met Section Board in various capacities. He is most notably the past President of the ASCE Metropolitan Section (2010-2011) and the Lower Hudson Valley Branch of the Met Section.

Professor Cioffi is active in the world of academia not only assisting in curriculum development, but also engaging up-and-coming engineers by the overall planning, development, coordination and implementation of educational programs at City and County institutional facilities. Tony is often featured as a guest speaker/presenter at conferences, local high schools, colleges and international engineering associations and symposiums.
